These shoes need me. I am thinking of so many outfits right now to wear them with. And makeup schemes. And places to wear them to. And who I'll talk to while in them..

R.I.P. Amy Winehouse

Well, it is sad that Amy didn't make it. We lost such a great talent and interesting person. I love this song, "Back to Black," and the video is ironic to look back at as it is about a funeral taking place. R.I.P. Amy Winehouse. You were a real weirdo and kind of manly, but also a true artist.

I can't seem to get enough fruit lately. My body must need it.

I want Wednesday.

This beauty-ful Asymmetrical Mini Letter necklace by Maya Brenner needs to be in my life. It's subtle enough to be worn every day with my gold Florida state necklace (represent) I wear on the daily. I'd go with the gold in 18". 

I've been a died in the wool Fluidline by MAC fan since the get-go. However, I did start to notice (I'm sorry, MAC!) that it doesn't age well. i.e. crumbling. It just doesn't go on as smoothly anymore therefore it is hard to control.. defeating the purpose of a liquid-like product. I had the chance to try an alternative and I did so, albeit hesitantly. And I have to say, Stila Smudge Pots are pretty great. They glide on like a dream so I have maximum control and a prettier end result. I have the brown one now and I'd like to get the black next and then I'd like them to make a new one a violet-y navy sort of color.

Movie Monday.

A Face in the Crowd (1957).

I feel like I've already written about this film but it turns out I only thought about it. This is an excellent movie that I did not expect to like because Andy Griffith is in it. His generally acting style and voice is not quite my fave but in this movie I feel it serves a purpose at least. It's about an assertive female radio personality, played by Patricia Neal (whom I love), who discovers a natural talent in a burnt-out, drunk of a jailbird. Fame drives him to the edge and he starts acting like a douche, OF COURSE. Patricia Neal I think steals the show and anchors the plot line. She has an amazing life story filled with struggle and overcoming the odds that you should read about here or  here; she passed away less than a year ago, actually. Check it out.

Just because you're a dude doesn't mean you don't have to tend to your feet.
Feet in general are pretty gross.
The only people whose feet don't gross me out are those of my two sisters.
I recently switched all of my underwear and pajama-wear to all black everything.
There are two kinds of faces: one kind that looks better from the side and one that looks better head-on.
I have a head-on face.
At the age of 25 I bought my first pair of short shorts and permitted a little young tummy to peak out every now and then.
The only tweezers that work are the Tweezerman Slant.
My eyes are black.
I can do anything I set my mind to.
I don't lotion my legs enough.
Gross.
Shaving is a pain in the ass.
First chance I get, I'm goin laser.
I never let anyone go near my eyebrows.
I'm an eyebrow snob.
Coconut in ice cream is worthless if it's not toasted.
As far as eyelashes go, it's more about the curl than the length.
The only eyelash curler worth having is by Shu Umera.
I think I think Joaquin Phoenix is attractive.
I need a facial once a month.
Most estheticians are pussies.
Lately, I don't feel like drinking at all.
Well, unless it's champagne.
Thank God no one can see me when I'm home alone.
I wish I were a badass like my little sister.
